Southern Stars Section hosted a visit to Classic Car Museum of St. Augustine!
In August, Mercedes-Benz Club of America Southern Stars Section Members and friends of the Club visited Classic Car Museum of St. Augustine! We wish to thank Sidney & Brenda Hobbs, as well as Madison Hobbs (the Executive Director of Classic Eventage, their events arm of the museum) for welcoming us back, and opening two hours earlier than their typical opening time on a Saturday, so we could beat the heat!
Did you miss us? No worries! The Classic Car Museum will welcome you Tuesday-Saturday 10-6!
The Classic Car Museum of St. Augustine was created from the ground up in 2020 to help bring memories back to life as only Classic Cars can do! There are now over 100 cars on display!
The museum was founded on the principles of sharing, charitable giving, community involvement, education, and a whole lot of fun, as they strive to put smiles on everyone associated and that walk through their doors!
A 501(c)(3) documented charity, the museum allows visitors to experience cars from the 1800s to modern-day sports cars with all the benefits a charitable organization provides. Monetary or other tax-deductible contributions to the Museum fund some of the museums greatest needs from securing the preservation of rare vehicles, to extending the reach of educational initiatives to various groups including under-served communities. Southern Stars Section's next public event is Caffeine and Octane Jacksonville on September 9.
Mercedes-Benz vehicles are encouraged to join us in the “Central Lot” (near the “Exotics Lot”) if you can share your Mercedes-Benz from 8-11:00 am. If you need to depart sooner, you are encouraged to park in the Exhibit Lot, and say hi! No Mercedes-Benz Club of America Membership is needed.
