Welcome to the MBCA Southern Stars Section. We are a Florida-registered not-for-profit organization.
Our section encompasses several regions through a few states. This can sometimes make it challenging to host events in a large geographical area. Our most northern members are in South Carolina, and our most Southern members, are in Central Florida. Our most westward members are in Alachua, FL, and our most Eastern members have the Atlantic Ocean views from their coastal home(s). As you can see, it can be a challenge to find meeting locations and events that will please everyone all the time. We hope to have more opportunities to meet one another in the coming year.
Our goal is simple. Bring together like-minded individuals, to share in the passion of Mercedes-Benz engineering, and to form an alliance with automotive enthusiasts to participate in new learning experiences, such as driving events and tech sessions with local automotive businesses, training centers, and automotive builders. We participate in automotive events such as various Concours d’Elegance events (The Amelia, Hilton Head Island Concours d'Elegance, etc.) & motoring festivals throughout the nation.
I wish to thank the volunteers of those who have held regional, executive, and leadership positions in the section in the previous years. Anyone who has helped with an automotive club knows it is not as easy as it sounds.
We are all volunteers, many of whom have full-time jobs, are full-time students, have a family and young children to care for, or a combination of those. It takes a level of commitment to not only enjoy things that one or two people appreciate but to offer curated experiences and administrative functions throughout the years to ensure the section is maintained well.
We do not receive financial assistance from the national office, and we do not receive compensation with stipends, vouchers, or any other form of incentive. If you can help with an event once or twice a year, we would all benefit from your generosity of time.
We primarily utilize Facebook and Instagram to communicate and share our photos of events. Follow us on our social media platforms listed below to get in contact with us and stay up to date on club information and upcoming events.
Every year, we collect new unwrapped toys for Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots and participate in other charitable events that help our local community.
