Southern Stars Section welcomed 2023 with an ocean-front breakfast at the Omni Amelia Island Resort.
Mercedes-Benz Club of America - Southern Stars Section has been welcoming in the new year for a couple of years, and hopes to do so every year, at this location. We always receive a warm welcome from Sunrise Café General Manager Chrystal Opheim and hospitable Sunrise Café ambassadors, who were engaging and delightful as we were treated to a superb experience. “The Morning Table” breakfast buffet delighted attendees of all ages, including a 1-year-old and a 7-year-old who joined their parents to enjoy the experience. A nearly endless number of options, including skillet potatoes, cheeses and cured meats, smoked Salmon, fresh honey from-the-comb, fresh-cut fruits, fresh berries, and crustless quiche, among dozens of additional offerings.
We met new members, some sister-section members who are Wintering in Florida, and reconnected with members who have been with us for a few decades. It was a fantastic event!
Thank you very much to Section Vice President Gary Keener, who made the arrangements. We also greatly appreciated Chrystal Opheim, Sunrise Café Manager, for working with us and providing excellent service with her attentive team members. It was a delight, and we cannot wait to return!

Caffeine and Octane Jacksonville

Event hours 8 – 11 am
Beginning around 7:00 am, Club leadership will begin to assemble in the “Central Lot” at Caffeine and Octane Jacksonville to prepare for the event starting at 8:00 am and to welcome fellow Mercedes-Benz enthusiasts!

No official registration is needed, although we would appreciate a quick message if you would like to join us. In February, we will aim for the Central Lot, for those who can stay there from 8-11am. It is a restricted entry and departure area for pedestrian safety. If you are unable to remain for the duration, consider parking in the Exhibit Lot, and coming over to chat!
