The 55th anniversary of AMG and the 50th anniversary of the S-Class were featured at the 2022 Ponte Vedra Auto Show!
We had almost 30 Mercedes-Benz vehicles registered for the showand had an amazing variety of vehicles shared! We had a fantastic mix of classic and modern Mercedes-Benz vehicles including several AMGs and a few S-Class vehicles, and even a couple of AMG S-Class vehicles! The two vehicles that flanked our grouping, and welcomed spectators at the spectator gate, were a 1955 190 SLR (Yes, an SLR!), and its 50-year-old modern counterpart, a 2005 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren. Our VIP cars for the event featured front and center were a RENNtech -tuned S 63 sedan, a 2019 S 63 Cabriolet, and a stunning 2008 CL 63 coupe. We also featured two very special AMGs, an AMG GT S Edition 1 and an AMG SL 65, that drove from the MBCA Tampa Bay Section. Enthusiasts also shared an E 63, and a C 63. Our RAD vehicles included a 1989 190 E 2.6, a 1989 560 SL, a 1994 SL 500, and a 1999 SL 500. Additional AMG vehicles included a G 55, a GLE 63 S-Model Coupe, and a second AMG GT S! A sweet 2012 SLK 350 and an Olivine Grey E350 Coupe were also greatly appreciated by the crowd!
Our favorite thing though was the passionate enthusiasts who showed up an hour or two early to facilitate teamwork with the show field parking, we appreciate the dedication of our enthusiasts! Thank you to everyone who shared their Mercedes-Benz vehicles with us, it was great to hang out with fellow enthusiasts for the day, meet new friends, and reconnect with others!
Awards went to members Lew Bednarczuk for “Outstanding Mercedes-Benz”, the exotic 2005 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren, and Rob Hickey’s RAD 190 E 2.6 won “Classic Mercedes-Benz”. It was a great day!

On Saturday, December 10, we will return to Caffeine and Octane Jacksonville in December, where we will be the First Coast Car Council “Featured Car Club of the Month and have a couple dozen or so of our cars in the reserved corral with the Central Lot. Beginning around 7:00 am, Club leadership will begin to assemble in the “Central Lot” at Caffeine and Octane Jacksonville, to prepare for the event starting at 8:00 am and welcome fellow Mercedes-Benz enthusiasts. Aim for gate #3, to the slight left of the “Exotics Lot” if approaching from the Southside Blvd main entrance. Vehicles that cannot remain in the Central Lot from 8:00 -11:00 AM are asked to park in the Exhibit Lot for easier entry and departure.
In December, We are the First Coast Car Council, Inc.'s featured Car Club of the Month at Caffeine and Octane Jacksonville and have reserved parking in the FCCC Car Corral inside the Central Lot.
We will also be collecting new, unwrapped toys for Marine Toys for Tots Foundation / Jacksonville Toys for Tots - Can we beat what we brought last year? Of course we can! Teamwork makes the dream work! Order your toy(s) now so you don't forget!
If you do not bring your beverages, there are options galore! Chick-fil-A and restrooms in the Avenues Mall food court will open early for Caffeine and Octane attendees, at 7:30 am. (Yes, they serve coffee!)
