Happy 6-3 Month!
Southern Stars Section Members & guests celebrated in style, on June 12, of course with a few ‘63s in attendance at our MBCA Southern Stars Section & Orange Park Mercedes-Benz co-hosted Cars & Coffee!
We had many great cars shared by their generous owners. Of the cars shared, a few were ‘63 derivatives! Our VIP cars were a stunning 2019 S 63 Cabriolet finished in designo Diamond White over designo Bengal Red leather, and a tuned 2017 C 63 S making over 600 hp, shared by Michael Cevera and his father. Section VP Dave also shared his SL 63, from the first year the SL used the 6.2 liter / “63” engine. Although this engine displaces 6.2 liters, it is marketed as the "6.3" to commemorate Mercedes' famed 6.3 L M100 engine, its first production V8.
Among the other great Mercedes joined us were two newer GLC 300 SUVs shared by Dan DiDeo and Section Treasurer Jackie Keener. Paul Eckbreth Shared his new daily driver of his Mercedes collection, a gorgeous Mountain Grey CLA.
Some of the other stars of the Cars & Coffee included Cory McRea’s R107 450 SL. Regional Director Hank Webb and his wife Jean joined us in their 2008 Mars Red SL 550, Membership Director Gary Keener shared his Iridium Silver Metallic CLS 550. Gordon Earle shared his 1936 500K tribute, which always draws a crowd! Brad Louis and his son shared their W210 E 55. Long-time members Monroe “Doc” and his wife Sulee Toranto shared one of their Mercedes, a 2000 W210 E 320, finished in a stunning “designo Espresso Edition” which came with Light Brown Nappa leather, and a natural Elm wood steering wheel, according to the Mercedes-Benz brochure!
Additionally, Mark Brooks shared his 2018 E 300, and Troy Gramza shared his 2008 CLK 350, both with AMG option packages! It’s all about sharing our passion, knowledge, and appreciation of these well-engineered Mercedes!
As a bonus surprise, we also were able to admire a rare 2016 Aston Martin Vantage GTS!
Southern Stars Section brought a couple dozen donuts, and Orange Park Mercedes-Benz provided the coffee and beverages for our guests. Members and customers chatted with owners, sharing some history and tech tips! Members and guests were happy to enjoy camaraderie, on a beautiful Florida Spring morning! We spoke of our next event, a tour at The Brumos Collection, followed by lunch at German Schnitzel Haus in Jacksonville, FL.

Please note: Even-numbered months, through and including December, on the second Saturday of every month we’ll host Cars & Coffee at Mercedes-Benz Orange Park. The “O” shape of the Mercedes logo and O of Orange Park are nice round, even numbers, which might help us remember to go there on even-numbered months! “It would be "odd" not to have it at Mercedes-Benz of Orange Park, after all!”
